SITES Computer Program

SITES is the Water Resources Site Analysis Computer Program.

  • The SITES computer program assists the design engineer in the hydraulic and hydrologic analyses of dams.
  • SITES allows the user to easily test alternative spillway sizes to provide satisfactory proportioning of flood storage and outflow for the safety of the structure.
  • The program incorporates the erosion technology developed by the USDA-ARS for the integrity and stability of earth spillways.
  • SITES supports complex watersheds with upstream structures, sub-watersheds, and channel reaches.

Except as noted, below are the NRCS contacts for SITES assistance.  Claudia Hoeft, NRCS CED National Hydraulic Engineer, is the principal contact person.
