Earth Day at the Shoals

On April 13, 2013, The Shoals Earth Month, INC. held their 6th Annual Earth Day Fest.
Etta Mask of Colbert County SWCD and Helen Parker of the Lauderdale County SWCD welcomed children and teachers with coloring books, hand-outs, and information about the services provided by the Florence and Tuscumbia Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Colbert and Lauderdale Soil and Water Conservation District's staffs.
Sammy Soil and Ruby Raindrop greeted the visitor at the entrance to Wilson Park in Florence, Alabama. The event started with the “Turtle Trot” a run through down town Florence.
Steve Trash performed, as well as local music talent.
It was a wonderful day!
